About us

At Ocean Blue, we have decades of experience in the marine industry from chandlery, sail making and rigging to marine engineering, commercial fishing, boat charter and angling. In fact, the acquisition of ‘A Matthews Sail Loft’ in 1999 dates us back over 120 years!

Some of our equipment dated back almost as far – whilst some of it is still in fine working order, including Estelle, a lot of it is destined for the museum!

We embarked upon a major investment program in 2001 with our most recent purchases, in August 2002, being two new sewing machines. We operate a computerised point of sale and stock control system, and this site is the most recent step in our ongoing efforts to capitalise on the opportunities presented by the web.
